This is a pure artistic Tibetan Thangka Painting of Guru Padmasambhava, the most powerful apostle of tantricism and very eminent saint in the spiritual lineage of Nyingmapa order of Tibetan Buddhism of which he was the founder.

This thangka is handpainted on a cotton canvas using pigments of vegetables and minerals. This marvelous painting is very powerful and intricate work of the artist is eminently visible. This piece can last for a long time if placed properly and taken care of.

He was born out of a lotus flower (Padma), in Lake Dhankasha in Udiayana, an ancient city of India. He received great notoriety as a powerful exorcist and was invited by King Trisong Detsen in ca. 715 to come to Tibet to subdue the local spirits obstructing the introduction of Buddhism. Using Phur-Pa (ceremonial "tent-stake") rituals, Padmasambhava convinced the local spirits to become protectors of the Dharma (Dharmapalas). He lived in Tibet for 50 years.

All paintings are hand drawn on primed cotton canvas using mineral and vegetable pigments along with 24 carat pure gold.
The work duration ranges between one month to one and half year per painting depending upon the details.

Every painting is nicely packed with hand made lokta paper and is put inside a strong non bendable PVC Pipes for expedition.
